From the Bolton News, 17 August, 2011:
MEMBERS of volunteer Bolton Street Angels rightly received praise from the Prime Minister on a visit to Parliament.
Brian Tonge and Adrienne Tonge represented the group among 100 projects at an official reception and David Cameron said the Angels made an important contribution to the Big Society.
The project, which supports victims of night-time crime and helps keep young people safe, started from local Christian churches but has now encompassed Muslim and Hindu volunteers and supporters.
It is a great example of caring people working together across faiths and beliefs to help in a practical way.
Long may its volunteers keep offering this much needed helping hand.
